The Album I bring you this morning is basically Superstar Filled, its was a $1 buy made by The Devil due to he knows I’m an Alvin Lee/Tens Years After Fan and the A side has been a repeat listen since the moment it came into the house.

“On the Road to Freedom” was released in 73′ post Ten Years After. Guest credits are: George Harrison, Steve Winwood, Ron Wood, Mick Fleetwood and Jim Capaldi.
Alvin Lee is a just plain Great Guitar player in my Book. English born and started playing guitar @ age 13. Lee’s distinctive, soulful playing is alive and well on this album.

Maylon LeFevre is most of the Beautiful Vocals on this albums. Until this morning’s stroll on Wikipedia I knew nothing about him: “he was born into a musical, touring, Southern gospel family, The Singing LeFevres, but stopped attending church when he left home. At 17 years old, while in the Army, he wrote his first song, “Without Him.” The gospel song was recorded by Elvis Presley in 1963, and within the next year, 126 artists recorded his songs. Mylon’s first royalty check for “Without Him” was for approximately $90,000 (approximately $634,000 in 2008 dollars).”

It Seems He stepped away from his Faith & Started running with the Big Dogs of Rock & Roll. In his secular career, he recorded, toured, or socialized with the likes Grand Funk Railroad, Clapton, ZZTop, Duane Allman, Traffic and the list keeps Running. This period of his life was marked by heavy drug use. After a near-fatal heroin overdose in 1973, he began his return to the Christian faith.
