Today I give you The Illusion S/T Album on Steed released in 69′.

A Five Member Band From Long Island, the Illusion is another one of those Psych bands who released another one of those super cool albums of the late 60’s early 70’s.
These boys have some “blue eyed soul” mixed in with their rock&rollin’ Psych Sound. They were known most for the Top 40 Hit “Did you see her Eyes”. The LP version of this cut is just shy of 7 minutes but if you stumbled upon the 45′ version I believe its been shortened of its extended drum solo. This A side track is the main reason I sought this record out in the 1st place due to a Fancy Mixed Tape, a gift from My Friend the Devil. I quickly feel in love with the whole album – Its a somewhat poppy, easy going, guitar groovy album – filled with lyrics about Ladies, Love and some heartache just the way I like it. The Medley below I placed on multiple mix tapes-my favorite track off the record. Another Blog I stumbled on while diggin about the interwebs by Mr FleaMarketFunk.
Hell, In my Book You cant go wrong with a Horse on the label.
Please Enjoy the Tracks Below
